Plain-English summary: you're buying pixels on a fun internet canvas. Pay for your square,
keep your doodle legal and decent, and understand that digital squares can't be "returned."
If we mess up (e.g. your payment lands after your hold expired), we refund you automatically.
1. What you're buying
Million Dollar Doodle sells coordinates on a 1,000 ร 1,000 digital canvas. When you buy a
square, you get the right to display one doodle (a drawing, emoji, or uploaded image) at those
coordinates, plus your chosen display name shown alongside it. You are buying a digital
collectible and a spot in an art project โ not real estate, not equity, not an investment.
2. How buying works
Pick & hold: choosing an empty block starts a 15-minute hold.
The hold is free and reserves your coordinates while you design your doodle and check out.
Pay to lock it in: payment is processed by Stripe. Your square becomes
permanently yours only when payment completes before the hold expires.
Missed the window? If your payment arrives after the hold expired, the
square goes back on the market and we automatically refund you in full โ
see ยง5.
Prices are shown in USD at checkout. Stripe may add its own processing disclosure; the
total you approve is the total you're charged.
3. Content rules
Your doodle, display name, and any linked content must not:
be illegal, or promote illegal activity;
be pornographic or sexually explicit involving minors (zero tolerance โ reported to authorities);
harass, threaten, or hate on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or similar;
infringe someone else's copyright or trademark (no uploading art you don't have rights to);
contain malware, phishing, or deceptive links.
Anyone can report a square with the ๐ฉ button. We review reports and may hide or
permanently remove violating squares without refund. Repeat offenders lose buying
privileges. If you believe your square was hidden in error, contact us and a human will review it.
4. Free squares
During promotional free drops, squares are free โ one per verified email address, while the
drop pool lasts. Free squares follow the same content rules. We may start, pause, or end a
free drop at any time. The golden center square is never claimable, free or paid.
5. Refund policy
Late payment โ automatic full refund. If you're charged after your hold
expired, we refund the full amount to your original payment method automatically. Refunds
typically land within 5โ10 business days depending on your bank.
Duplicate charges โ refunded. If a glitch charges you twice for one square,
the duplicate is refunded in full.
Delivered squares are final. Once your square is marked sold and your
doodle is live, the digital good is delivered and can't be returned โ so completed purchases
are non-refundable except where required by law or in the cases above.
Chargebacks: filing a chargeback instead of contacting us will get the
associated square hidden and your email blocked from future purchases while the dispute is
resolved. Talk to us first โ we're reasonable people.
6. What we promise (and don't)
The canvas is provided "as is." We aim for 100% uptime and a permanent
canvas, but we can't guarantee against outages, bugs, or the heat death of the universe. Our
liability is limited to the amount you paid us. We're not liable for indirect or consequential
damages. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
7. Your data
We store your name, email, and purchase records to operate the canvas (receipts, your
"My Squares" list, drop mailing list). We don't sell your data. Payment details are handled
by Stripe โ we never see or store your card number. Emails about the canvas (drop
announcements, the doodle-of-the-day) are opt-out any time.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the project evolves; the "last updated" date above will
change and significant changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after changes
means you accept them.
9. Contact
Questions, refund requests, moderation appeals, or takedown notices:
reply to any email from us or write to
hello@milliondollardoodle.com.
โ๏ธ Honest note: these terms were written by the site operator, not a lawyer. For a project
handling real money at scale, a proper legal review is wise โ this is a solid starting point,
not legal advice.
